The juicy fruit from the Montepulciano component bounds along with the Shiraz wrapping itself around in a neat parcel showing fine sheets of spice that ride out to an elongated finish. Utterly gorgeous with a sweet core of mulberries and cherries, this is a wine with focus and length. Will continue to provide delicious drinking over the next six to eight years. Pure, with a bright energy to the acidity, fine, powdered stone tannins and a touch of cranberry lift right on the exit. Pretty scents of dried red petals make an early statement with plummy fruit, red currants, black cherries, baked strawberries and a little Cherry Ripe goodness. Woodsy spices and dabbles of earthiness move into the frame late with some cedar and clove not far from the action.
