"Menthol, anise, dage an cedar all bring nuance to the bold blueberries and blackberies on the nose of the 2018 Tango Shiraz Viognier. Like all of the Hobbs wines, it’s a big, full-bodied wine (15.5% alcohol on the label), but supple, rich and expansive on the palate, with spice nuances on the long, dusy, espresso-tinged finish. Even after two years in oak and almost another year in bottle, it comes across as embryonic in its development, with plenty of power and concentration to support at least a decade of cellaring."
